Business Training News & Views

Adding a little lunchtime learning the to menu may be the answer if your business is having trouble keeping up with the current trends in internet technology. From September through to the end of November People-OnTheGo is serving up a series of free "Lunch and Learn 2.0" web-based seminars to teach business professionals how to take advantage of the latest Web 2.0 technologies.

Those interested can log on at http://people-onthego.com/lunchandlearn-ontheair.html and listen to the free training sessions each Thursday at noon Pacific Time on their PC or Mac, or through telephone based conferencing. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes and focusses on one specific topic.

Sessions being held in September will look at how businesses can better share information, collaborate more easily, and cost effectively engage their audience using wikis, blogs, and other Web 2.0 applications. In October the sessions will be devoted to the new Microsoft Office 2007 applications and the November webinars will teach professionals stronger organization and presentation skills.

Founded in early 2000, People-OnTheGo aims to train businesses to remain productive in an ever changing digital age. Based in San Francisco, California the organization provides virtual, onsite, and web-based self-paced training sessions that teach business professionals how to minimize legal and security risks, communicate more effectively and save substantial amounts of time while using e-mail, office applications, handheld devices and other internet-based technologies.

"Users are seeking new ways to collaborate and share information without adding to an already overloaded e-mail inbox," explains founder of People-OnTheGo, Pierre Khawand.

Along with the Lunch and Learn sessions People-OnTheGo is also maintaining two blogs to compliment the information provided through the learning sessions. On the 81 Day Experiment  (http://81dayexperiment.typepad.com) the latest smart phones are being reviewed and reviewers are posting tips on how people can choose the smart phone that best suits their needs. Meanwhile, the "less-is-more" blog (http://less-is-more.typepad.com) offers tips on how to increase productivity while managing e-mail and other office applications, as well as how business professionals can get organized and manage time.
