Promotional First Aid Kits Now Include Online Training
Comments:

A first aid kit can be a life saver, but ultimately its only as good as the person using it. With this in mind, Redi-Medic, a Canadian first-aid kit manufacturer and wholesaler is now providing access to complimentary online training videos for anyone who receives one of their products.
The company was inspired to include the training aids after a recent study in Ireland revealed that while 40 percent of those studied used their first aid kit on the monthly basis, 60 percent were unfamiliar with the basic contents of the kit and didn’t know how to use some of the items that were included.
When treating a wound, knowing whether you should apply alcohol, iodine, or sting relief can make the difference between helping the injured person or making their pain worse. Redi-Medic doesn’t want its training videos to replace professional training programs, but it does hope they will give new users some basic knowledge of first aid.
"Training is a valuable addition to any first aid kit. These online videos really stress the importance of having the right contents in your first aid kit and dealing with each emergency situation appropriately," explains Chris Becker, the Red Cross certified first aid and CPR instructor who narrates the training videos.
Redi-Medic manufactures and distributes soft shell promotional product emergency preparedness, first aid and auto safety kits, including some so small that they’ll fit on a key chain. Now each kit will also includes a ticket that gives the customer a passed to access the training videos through Redi-Medic’s website.
Some of the topics covered in the training videos include how to perform CPR, treat burns, soft tissue injuries and cuts, as well as knowing when to use various types of bandages, burn dressings and gels, and a variety of different pads, swabs and towelletes.
"Adding video instruction to first aid kits brings more product value to this line than any other component that can be sourced anywhere on the globe," says Redi-Medic founder Joe Hafner, " Practical first aid knowledge is important to the entire family. Upon opening the first aid kit, go online, take twenty minutes reviewing the contents and the benefits could impact everyone you know."
